The Steve Altman Memorial Fund
The Steve Altman Memorial Fund is being established to honor the life of Steve who died on August 8, 2009 at the age of 60. Steve, his brother Dan and nephew Doug were killed when their plane collided with a helicopter over the Hudson River.
Steve, the son of Louise and Dave (an Angel Flight East Board of Directors, volunteer, and pilot) , was a very generous and compassionate man. He volunteered many times as a co-pilot flying missions of sick children and adults to medical treatment far from their homes.
The fund has been established by Steve’s family to perpetuate his memory.

Sponsor AFE's program to help support patient transportation or stay at a facility when bad weather does not permit them to fly that day.
Adopt-an-Angel Flight.
Support that will cover the costs for a designated number of flights. Each flight is approximately $400.
